Ann Curry

Ann Curry was born in the US and works as an American photographer and journalist. For more than forty-five years, she's focused on documenting human suffering, primarily in natural disasters and wars. Curry was a reporter in war-zones such as Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry, (born November 19th 1956, Agana American journalist and television anchor and news reporter. She was best known for her job as a reporter on the Today program, which was a morning news show that was telecast through the National Broadcasting Co. (NBC). Curry became known in particular for her reporting on human rights crises, natural disasters and other emergencies which occurred in war-ravaged areas. Curry's Japanese-American mother and U.S. Navy-sailor dad played prominent roles in Curry's life. Her parents met while her father was stationed in Japan following World War II. Because of her father's work as a military officer that they had to move around a lot. They eventually settled in Ashland Oregon where Curry attended the high school. After graduating from University of Oregon, Curry received a bachelor degree in journalism in 1978. In her youth, she was exposed to many cultures. Her empathetic attitude towards global affairs may be due to her experience. Ann Curry has been a well-known American journalist since early 1990s. Ann Curry is currently NBC's news anchor. She attended schools in San Diego Alameda Oregon Virginia. Ashland is where she graduated from the high school. As an intern at KTVL Channel 10 Medford, Oregan, she began her journey as a broadcaster. She was the first female news reporter for the station at aged 22. After that, she moved into the role of anchor reporter and anchor for KGW KGW, which was an NBC affiliate station located in Portland. In Los Angeles, she became an anchor and reporter for KCBS TV just four years after making the move into the city. There were two Emmy Awards were won during her time with KCBS-TV.
